I'm sorry, but even if you COULD borrow money from your mother, it's not right of him to insist that you do so in order to do what he wants, and hold your friendship hostage if you don't. Either he has other issues going on, and is misdirecting his frustration at you, or he's being very self-centered and immature.  I hope that he realizes how he's acting, and that talking with him will get his head straight. If not, frankly, you can do better for friends."}
