They narrow your field of vision immensely, which makes it hard to do a quick cursor swing to a target (the advice I've heard is that you don't wanna point at a target until you're ready to release your shot, to avoid them noticing you too soon), and the difference in perspective didn't seem to help when I tried using one."}
