If you take away nature from them they go from very low maintenance to extremely high maintenance as you have to provide them entertainment, exercise, mental challenges, and a lot of other things they'd get on their own if allowed to roam around. If you want a pet to be inside all day you're better off with a frog or lizard. Cats get fat and whimsical when stuck inside, and dogs destroy everything. They're not made for interiors."}
