For instance, i was talking with my friend the other day and was like,"Hey, remember that Pokemon battle we had yesterday etc etc?" And he said,"That never happened man." He then went on to explain what we did yesterday and I found I was wrong, the memory I had remembered had never happened. But the memory in my brain had vivid detail, and i clearly remember it. This happens when you forget something subconciously, so your brain replaces that forgotten memory with something else, sometimes completely made up. I just think its odd how this organ, something that is completely our own and abides by our rules, can completely decieve us. Now, think about this. Can we really trust our memories? What if most of our memories are just fake stand ins because we've forgotten something? What if entire parts of our life aren't real?"}
