I know a friend who only uses it to compile stuff as well, but it's really grown to be a full-featured operating system. I use it as my home PC system instead of Windows :P Arch Linux with awesome as my Window Manager, just great :P The thing I love about Linux is that it can be any way you want it to be. Google around for GNOME, KDE, Unity, Enlightenment or awesome. Those are just a small amount of &quot;window managers&quot; and &quot;desktop environments&quot; which define how your system looks and works."}
