Its an upgrade to Paint, hence its name (its the real reason for its name X3), GIMP is the way to go for a free image editor @<span class="vcard"><a href="http://rainbowdash.net/user/6872" class="url" title="Zimzap PurpleSnowPlow"><span class="fn nickname">zimzap</span></a></span>, but <a href="http://Paint.net/" title="http://Paint.net/" rel="nofollow external">Paint.net</a> is a good step up from Paint to get your feet wet, but dont depend on it. <a href="http://Paint.Net/" title="http://Paint.net/" rel="nofollow external">Paint.Net</a>'s only real use in the world it seems is minecraft texture packs/pixel art o3o
