I recently wrote an action short like that. The main character (who is technically a bad guy fighting against US soldiers) did everything he could to save an innocent girl from being killed by his teammates and he ends up killing her after she points a weapon at him and fires at him. So he himself doesn't die, but he'd probably want to after what happens</html>
