They're about the size of an A5 sheet, if not smaller. The kindles key advantage is the screen. Not only is it worlds nicer to read on than any LCD, it also makes the kindle battery last forever. If you're going to do serious reading on a mobile device, you should use a kindle. If you're just gonna read every now and then because you're out of cell coverage or whatever, then an app will suffice.</html>
