As I see it, the Mana Leak card will let you counter any spell, but if your opponent decide to pay 3 more mana in response, then your Mana Leak will fail at countering. Though, I can see how it would be interpreted differently; the wording on the card isn't quite crystal clear. But yeah, Puzzlemint will probably know for sure. =P Say....
