If you like singing, and have some skills in it, I say go for it! Me, on the other hand, sound just terrible when I sing. At least long notes, that's why I feel more secure if I rap (if I absolutely have to sing), 'cause it's kinda like talking in rhymes to a beat. If I try to hold a long note for more than 2 seconds, I sound awful.
