It is designed to make you keep going, to counteract the truth in which in death, even if you call yourself a hero, does it really matter? A non sentient cosmos is still more relevant than a sentient ape considering it has been in existence for millennia before the very chemicals that generate your honor and valor even existed. That Inert cosmos is the reason you exist and your perception is what it is. I actually agree with you on this, I just love arguing.
