I thought I'd throw in my idea anyway. I was thinking that maybe the current promoted dashes thing could be used exclusively for mod notices (like stickies on a forum). For what @<span class="vcard"><a href="http://rainbowdash.net/user/2959" class="url" title="Kaiba (formerly Ponydude)"><span class="fn nickname">widget</span></a></span> was saying about promoting community stuff, I have an idea that could let that happen without showing favoritism. There could be a little area that had links to groups for streams, artwork, anything made by people on the site. Here is a VERY CRUDE mockup so you can visualize it.
