@flamingpandaomg So I looked at some other hardware I should be looking at, such as this Original XboX one of my siblings slipped into my capable care to "check it out, fix it up if possible, and make it into a media centre" ... After checking it out I can say 1 thing for certain. The CD-player of the thing is BUSTED UP !... I can use it to boot the thing, but I can not play any games without hearing it go "bzzp, respool, bzzp, respool, bzzp, respool" ... around 14 times per minute... I waited like 5 minutes... Know anything I can do with it now ? I mean, I can not load a buffer overflow from a game ( at least I think ) so linux-stackoverflowing is out... not that I ever done THAT but... hot-swap an IDE hard disk sounds ever riskier ( and I never did that either ) ... Great idea's come to me
