Sort of lurked a while, then went ahead and signed up. Did you do the same, or jump right in? As for stuff in common, Mmm, sometimes I wonder about that,as far as things go with me here, as a lot of gamer talk goes on, to the point of where it seems to be a strong focus, and I'm not much of one at all. But at least there's always ponies. :) And, you're right: it's always nice to meet people. :)
