It wouldn't just be the Doctor shows up and is all &quot;HI THERE I'M THE DOCTOR PONY LET'S GO ON AN ADVENTURE&quot;. I would have to explain WHY he's there, and as such would probably have him regenerate from Smith or Capaldi into a new incarnation and then have THAT incarnation wind up in Ponyville somehow. I don't think I'll wind up doing that; too much backstory to go over, too little time.
