It is a real thing, for example the norm for sedan cars is to have four doors and a trunk. A car with four doors and a fifth back door that opens completely and uses the area behind the back seats as a trunk when needed is also a sedan, but not a normal one. It changes over time, as society changes, or in the case of that example, as general design trends change.</html>
