The computer the hard drive's from is probably long gone anyway, it's not like the school needed it anymore. Anyway, the chntpw live USB worked perfectly and I got access to the system, but since the system used to be extensively controlled by the schools' network, it's basically useless without their specific connection. Nothing works; I can't even open the all programs list. Probably going to end up formatting the drive. oh well.
