It seems to be utterly basic things like fractions, formulas (as in being provided a basic formula and working with it), etc. It is even lower than the prealgebra course that was in its place. It is a shame that I took too many courses last summer, as I was forced to drop the basic algebra course I was taking due to being unable to keep up with the homework (it certainly doesn't feel great to withdraw from a course when you were getting an A in it).
