If I, hypothetically, was to go into a career in the film industry, what does it matter that I can analyse every scene in <i>One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest</i>? Sure, I've learned how lighting and colour and mise-en-scéne can amplify the effect of a scene, but in a context that literally will not help me ever. Forcing me to rewrite what I've already written before except under timed conditions and without notes does not prove a goddamn thing about <i>anything.</i>
