I like a lot of independent and underground music, but I'm not at all &amp;quot;above&amp;quot; pop or popular music in anyway (and I think that's kind of an awful attitude to have too). I only really tend to have strong opinions on the music I listen to (and by extension the shows I watch, the books I read, etc.) because it's my way of trying to engage honestly with the art I consume. I think being critical of the things we love helps us appreciate them more as well as understand why we appreciate them in the first place.</html>
