They tried to catch up with stuff that happened in between season 4 and 5 and establish the new status quo and additionally throw in a villain. On top of that one has to adjust to the unconventional animation style (at this time) and art style in general. I really liked the world-building and the scenes in which Samurai Jack had his guilt hallucinations. My favourite scenes were ones with the Aku acolytes. I felt that the fight scene at the end was cut short.</html>
