It's solar powered and its batteries don't need to be replaced. However in the last year I didn't go much outside, so it went flat for the first time. I quickly charged it with my daylight lamp however functions like light and barometer and compass need more juice. Too bad that it's cloudy. I need to make (or 3D print) a small wrist watch holder so it is properly propped up at the window to catch as much sunlight as possible.
