Once I bought a set of 16 coasters for engraving and gifting them. Only half of them were in a decent quality and the rest questionable to unusable. I wet sanded one of the worst ones and got a decent result. The worst ones were extremely uneven but have become super flat and uncannily smooth. It makes even fun to slide the fingers over it as they glide effortlessly.
