They are constantly getting loose as the tightening nut wiggles loose and potentially get out and hurt me. I have bought medical scalpels that hold the blade a lot firmer and have no chance to twist out of their grip. Also the medical scalpels don't roll off the table, which is a huge plus in safety. I don't even know why hobby knives are so poor in quality even though the alternative isn't even much more expensive and yet far sturdier. Only changing blades is a little bit trickier but that's it.
