He had such a feel-good story this year, winning the Indy 500 despite not having a full-time ride as his contract with his old team wasn't extended. Just a few days ago he signed a contract with a team (Andretti Autosport) for a full-time ride next year, which probably would've turned that team around greatly. That's all gone now... Dan was only 33.
