Actually there are two known dragons, one is the tiger-dragon of Akaviri, considered a god by the Akaviri empire, and the other is Akatosh, who one-hitted Mehrunes Dagon in Oblivion. Alduin the world eater is the nord version of Akatosh. Anyhow, fighting one of them would mean suicide.
