Thomas Jefferson would say there is no such thing as &amp;quot;intellectual property&amp;quot; and that there is no such thing as &amp;quot;piracy&amp;quot; of digital content. Shutting down free speech would never be the right way to do this. It's a losing proposition, trying to legislate away the ability of computers to do what they do so naturally: store, share, and copy information, at essentially no cost. What is needed to protect production of content, is a new reward system that matches the nature of the situation, and not a physical-merchandise metaphor for information and a hopeless attempt to control and police it on that basis. -PvK, SodaHead</html>
