Your engagement with it is just as valid as mine, and that extends to your interpretation and critical evaluation of that piece of media too. If the band's name speaks to you in some profound way or if you just feel it has some significant relevance to their artistry, feel free to expound on that kind of stuff! Discussion like that allows all the participants to bask more critically and reflectively in the work being discussed.

I'm really liking what I'm hearing so far. The backing band helps establish the compositions in an even more psychedelic context than the instrumentals on Acid Rap, so given the goals of both albums Surf works even better in favour of Chance's aesthetic.

@riley Amiibos are collectable figures that grant in-game effects and are highly sought after through Nintendo constructing a delicate system of low supply and high demand. It's essentially post WW-II tier hardcore capitalism visualized through cheap figures of video game characters. Also I've bought a bunch of them because I'm terrible.

@metaltao Family is a beautiful thing, and it's a shame not everyone can have a functional one. I think one of the largest reasons my brother and I can reconcile so many of our differences is because we've both known each other for so long that we both have an intuitive understanding of each other's quirks and traits and have adapted to accept and even reinforce them mutually.

@metaltao Me too! People are so unusual and varying, all products of so many wide reaching circumstances like age, class, ethnicity, cultural climate, familial ties, ideology, and faith, among others. People are great, and though we possess the capacity to form harmful relationships with others it's through the drive to meet people that we're able to form sentimentally meaningful bonds. I guess it's easy for someone like me to come off as a cynic at times, but ultimately I do love people.
