@clayinthecarpet like I told nerthos, you have been beating down shipfics with smearing words like perversion and distortion, words which are not normally assumed to be used in a strictly neutral sense, then defending your opinion of what you enjoy with words which imply moral authority or, to use an exact word you've used, pureness. The connotation of words like "perverse" and "distorted" point to an opinion of wrongness, whereas saying something is pure implies correctness or right. I feel like if you were indifferent or wanted to show respect for what I like, you would not use language to wrongfully put it below your position while simultaneously elevating yours. Connotation is key here, because it's through the connotation of your language that you have used to create inequalities in our separate opinions. You've said you're cool with people with different opinions. This is why I feel like you've been saying "we both can have opinions, but mine is right"
