The Tank was first designed and used in the First World War. It would have led France to Victory if they updated them instead of letting the Germans develop better, stronger, and faster tanks of their own. And, using something similar to a blitzkrieg.
Also, France Trained their Soldiers to use Bayonets and not the guns they were attached to. Tehy also did not develop any way of countering Machine gun nests.
