@zazie Yeah, what I meant was the show itself sort of planted an interest in my head. I mean I don't think Mushi is going to become a Japanese linguist or teacher but is learning the language on the side of his main ambitions because of his passion for the culture. I never really planned on becoming a chemist but I probably would've never taken that course were it not for Breaking Bad, which turned me onto the idea of chemistry in the first place. Even though the interested didn't fester or develop, the spark was definitely there.
