One of the things Jonathan and I have started doing with MLB is employing a technique called Retroscripting. Basically, while we still have scripts written, the dialogue is meant to be interpreted loosely and is only there for us to fall back on if we can't think of anything else to get the same idea across. It was a technique used in Dr. Katz, Home Movies, and more recently Rick and Morty. I think it creates more humorous yet realistic conversations between characters.
