Wherein I suppose that's my part-fascination with the Middle English realm. Unlike Old English which is by every right a different language altogether and common English today it's right in the middle (pun?) of my understanding. At part it reads to me like Germanic with just enough familiarities in the words themselves to sort of get the gist.
