I don't understand myself sometimes. I'm extremely frugal with my money when it comes to hardware and video games. But when it comes to comics I'm more likely to throw my money at the screen. Well... New comics are cheaper. Also there are less disappointments and less buyers remorse. Recently I ordered the comic "Mega Princess" (published by Boom Studios) and it was good. It features a small princess who wants to be a detective. On her 10th birthday her punk fairy godmother gives her all princess powers that existed like perfect singing voice, detecting a pea under dozens of mattresses, shrinking size, and talking to animals. Speaking of animals: she has a movie-quoting, sassy and grumpy pony. The pony gets also a magical upgrade: a magic armor with wings and shrinking power, and a submarine mode. The story is about her finding her kidnapped baby brother. I read the first two issues and it's fun and entertaining so far although it is targeted to younger audience.
