    @maiyannah IMO the way they could make it both reasonable and flashy would be to introduce lightsaber-resistant armor, which is canon in the extended universe. That'd make it so that a normal hit isn't necessarily lethal and would force fighters to try to repeatedly hit the enemy to wear it off and be able to strike at the body itself.
