  14. @pinhooves It's pathetic behaviour. Its usually the most honest ones that are on the recieving end, cos they don't hide behind a callous veneer of trolling. It shouldn't happen, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't.

  15. @scribusthehomicidalmaniac Pretty much. People hanging back, thinking of snarky comments, posting... then hanging back again. Celestia help any poor bugger who actually expresses any spontaneous passion about anything.

  16. @pawnheart It died as quickly as it came. I'm pretty sure folk realised that it wasn't actually inherently amusing.

  17. @pawnheart It's kinda parasitic, and more than a little sad, but its also a prevalant attitude on a lot of the internet, it seems.

  18. @pinhooves Ah, just some quite popular youtuber did an angry response to another user who had said some inappropriate things on his gf's site. The result was an endless stream of youtube mashups of said rant, which garnered significant views and likes. It didn't seem as if people actually objected to him, or what he said, they just liked the fact that he was cross.

  20. @thatonepony Hope you don't mind, but I tagged that on the phl board... it was a lovely message, is all.

  21. @pinhooves Thats not pleasant. Nonetheless... some people (okay, A LOT of folk) on the internet thrive on other people's grapes-stirring. I don't think a lot of them really care about either party... an example is the whole 'sonicdude' thing (do you know of it)?

Wednesday, 19-Oct-11 09:05:45 UTC from web in context
  22. @pinhooves ...do YOU like these people and respect their views?

  24. @pinhooves Well... it seems you've done all you can. It sounds like you're not rising to the bait, either, which is admirable. It will also probably take away a good deal of the energy he is putting into this useless endeavour.

  25. @thatonepony Puns are to be treasured! ...well, I think so, anyhoo

  27. @thatonepony Aye! I just took it and did a fairly obvious 'Charlie Sheen' riff on it.

Wednesday, 19-Oct-11 08:53:55 UTC from web in context
  28. @pinhooves It is a pretty horrid thing to have inflicted on you. You certainly don't deserve it (and I ain't just saying that cos I don't know this other fella). As I have offered before, it should be abundantly apparent to most folk that the guy is really not doing himself any favours. Sadly, for the truth to show itself, and the guy to be shown his place, it seems like you're going to have to wait it out for the time being... you said you'd flagged and reported him online, didn't you?

Wednesday, 19-Oct-11 08:52:54 UTC from web in context
  29. @thatonepony Fair enough!

  30. @thatonepony Its called 'Sheen'... and if we tried it once we would die.
