@pony It worked for Bugs Bunny.
-
@pony Am I supposed to be enticed by this or
-
@pony Well I think they called it 50 Shades of Gray...
-
@pony It's £30 a month, going down in the new year to £20. There are some other once-yearly costs I incur like renewing the domain or my typekit subscription but they're not a serious issue to me.
-
@pony The bill just came in.
-
@pony It sure tested my verification of permanence statistical periodical analysis that I like and crave cookies no matter what the time of day
-
@pony I am pretty sure I saw the thing I am recalling on TV in the corner of the room when I was putting an engine block together again ( That or skinning a fish... or compiling some code... Either way mindnumbingly boring work ) on NatGeo or Discovery
-
@pony In related news, we have learn sign language to animals but none of them has ever asked us a question. And then there is this test "Where is the cookie" Which all animals seem to fail, yet humans grow the awareness around the 5 year old
-
@pony expect*

@pony If you look up Serrio you'll find my twitter and SBN profiles, both of which are sufficient on their own to disqualify me. I could use my real name without issue but I would rather sodomise myself with an unsanded broom handle than have anything to do with "competitive TCG players" in any sort of professional capacity.
-
@pony Well, that's me barred then.
-
@pony most 'brony famous' people would.
-
@pony John Joseco.. You'll need an alias.
-
@pony I'm waiting till I next visit Scoot so I can shut down the huge field that basically covers his entire town.

@pony A multihack allows you to hack a portal more times before it burns out and needs to recharge. It's for "farming" portals. You set it up on a safe one you control to get more out of it
-
@pony I clap for you
-
@pony If you get an item called an ADA Refactor, keep hold of it. It instantly flips the color of a target portal, so save it for someplace where you can cause the most damage. They're crazy rare.
-
@pony I had one. I've got a bunch of shields too. Something called a heat sink as well. No idea what that does
-
@pony I think all portals do have a weak self defense system that kicks in when you hack them though. It doesn't seem to always fire in my experience so I'm not sure
-
@pony Turrets zap you. Shields just negate a portion of the damage dealt by XMPs. They appear as translucent bubbles over portals
-
@pony Someone in my nearby town of Northampton has somehow managed to get a sequence of portals approved in such a way that the outline of them draws a giant mangoes on the map.
-
@pony In my defense I was trying to take the picture with the forward facing camera on my tablet from the passenger seat of a moving car, in the rain.
-
@pony (Just take a photo of the front of your building and claim it's a museum. The worst they can do is not approve it, and if it works: Profit!)
-
@pony Yeah, this guy in my town immediately demolished all my L1 portals and replaced them with unassailable level 8's. Now I get full XM just from driving by and always get level 3 or 4 items out of them. Jokes on him.
-
@pony That said, there are two schools in my area with portals so maybe Niantic just didn't approve it because I took a terrible photo
-
@pony :3
-
@pony I submitted a school but it wasn't approved, perhaps because they don't want to encourage adults with cellphones to hang around schoolyards.
-
@pony Sometimes that can work in your favour. If they /don't/ replace it you can get the bonus XP for reactivating it, and if they DO replace it with a higher level one, higher level portals generate more XM AND drop better items when you hack them.
-
@pony Also: You can find local players through the "COMM" menu at the bottom of the screen. When you open it, there's a slider at the top you can use to choose how far away you'd like your message to be visible. I keep mine set to about 20KM to cover the area I work in too. It's like a local messaging service.
