@critialcloudkicker there are different kind of triggers in this game. Fathom Mage's ability may possibly only trigger if it sees a bigger creature etb. If the creature's already in and then got bigger upon entering via grafting, you *may* have missed the window. (You'll need to ask an active judge, I am totally inactive.) This scenario you've created is different from cards which create effects like "your creatures enter the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters," which would actually trigger Fathom Mage if the etb creature wouldn't normally do so by itself. Timing timing timing.

@nerthos which only repeats the same cycle, not to mentioning the long term of inmates growing an emotional dependency on the unhealthy pecking order of prison life. So if your idea of punishing an individual is to make them unfit to be a productive citizen, you should obviously just shoot everyone that commits a felony.
