  3. @rarity Yup, both versions. I like Schubert's melody to it the most. Schubert was one of those under appreciated composers, although a recognisable name.

  4. @rarity Oh, so likely what I heard wasn't the actual prayer.

  5. @rarity I just remember hearing Ave Maria sung. It is a prayer, though, is it not?

  6. @rarity That they do. Unfortunately I'm only familiar with "Salve Regina" and Ave Maria (if that counts) in western chants.

  7. @rarity Yes, I am sure that this translation I linked was written before the Crusades, difficult to say as the Byzantine Empire was very lax on using Greek in areas excepting liturgy.

  8. @rarity I got into Gregorian Chant when I was studying Orthodoxy, started out with Russian and Slavonic chants. Many of these services I have a degree of familiarity with.

  21. @rarity Well then, in my opinion I do not think that gamergate is worth researching because it appears that it is only the story about someone who thought she could manipulate for good reviews on her game got cought, a couple of sore losers thought it would be funny to attack her ( even Dox her ), which caused some other woman/women to step up and feul the fire of mysoginy versus misandry. And now everyone is running around like headless chickens screaming profianity and how they are right and everyone should listen to them. Everybody should just call the mangoes down. Ethics should be written for the game-journalism industry, woman should be treated fairly and equally here, everywhere, and around the globe. and there should be wold peace while I am at it. did I miss anything ?

  24. @rarity Should I start all of my future dashes with "I have come to understand that" "I think" "in my humble oppinion" or "I could be wrong, but..." ... ... Problem on your side is that you have not exactly convinced me that I am exactly wrong in any of these instances either.

  28. @rarity Gamer A says that Master Chief should be a woman. Gamer B says that Master Chief is fine how he is. Gamer A calls gamer B a mysoginist. Gamer A gets backed up by pro-feministic person C. Intents of person C. anyone ?

  30. @rarity I was never trying to justify any of it ( which is your first mistake ) misandry means the hatred towards men or boys, which is clearly going on by a lot of the people on the internet, else some things that have been said would not have been said ( second mistake ) Taking the time to point this out to you ( my mistake ) for you probably do not care and rather blame me that I blame something when I obviously just want to figure out what the mangoes is going on.
