I feel like I've been running around in circles with this whole .NET thing. Try to install MonoDevelop+friends on Linux > Crashes when I try to add a new view to the project > Install Newer MonoDevelop + Newer Mono libraries from repository > Can't start the web server > Copy alternate Mono libraries on top of old Mono libraries > Banshee stops working (I kind of saw that one coming) > Compile the most recent version of MonoDevelop that works with the Mono that comes with my distribution > Works, but then I'm not sure to do with it > "I KNOW! It's not an -web- ASP.NET project, but I'll make a Terraria server plugin. That'll at least get me familiar with C#" > Tries to compile the plugin template for Terraria > complains about missing Xna libraries even though MonoGame is installed and referenced > Gives up on trying to develop in Linux and goes to Windows > "Windows is not genuine", apparently because I used Windows Loader ona legal copy of Windows so I could run it in the VM > *cries*

I guess I least have to go into Windows to run the Terraria client. Kind of hard to program anything for it if you can't see the server. I guess I can just run Linux in the VM.
