Yes. There is a difference between your #IP (e.g. in your browser) and the #server IP (of e.g. quitter). What I am trying to tell you guys is: #protect your own IPs and let the server do all the stuff (e.g. grabbing other people's dents, subscribing, ...), see method I here: http://federation.skilledtests.com/Statusnet_problems.html#two_ways_to_subscribe_to_users
