  1. Voice, totally gone. Camp is getting to me. I must survive...

But first, what in the name of black and sweet tasty goodness do you call these things ? http://rainbowdash.net/url/874975

  4. Creating flexible Game UI in Unity is a pain. Either I don't understand it or it is deliberately angering me. It is super finicky to get all the spacing and image sizes right when the window resizes. I wish the layout system were as robust as Qt's.

  5. I'm gonna need someone to back me up in the great "Battle for Middle Earth 2 : Rise of the Witch King" versus "Battle for Middle Earth" debate.

There is also the village idiot who thinks that the whole debate is stupid since you can install both games in German and revel in high quality voice acting.

  6. @mrmattimation Putting things on the backburner just because you are scared of what you might find is a road to disaster.

Probably unrelated, this just popped in my head http://rainbowdash.net/url/874971

  7. You know you might have had too much beer when regular water starts to taste like beer.

... Or maybe this is beer... ... Well it is in a spa bottle, and I believe in the label...

  8. @scribus Typen while totally fubar

To quote someone and I am not sure if that made any sense but

"I do not think you can prove, even mathematically, that anything above the 13th dimension even exists, since the 12th dimension is effectively EVERYTHING"

Buuuuut, yeah, I think generally people just think that you can add D's to the chess and make it sound smarter for smarter people.

  9. Great! The local brewery pollutes the air with stinky smells of hops and malt. I just wanted to air my apartment.

  10. @mrmattimation You can wait for the next version of the Octane Renderer that will get DXR support but that's not cheap.

  12. Brainfart If you are the only person playing 15D chess. Are you then the best in the world who is playing it, or the worst in the world ?

  15. @oracle I'm currently at a GTX 970 so I was wondering if an upgrade were viable now. I'd like to have a beefy graphics card at home so I can do work at home from time to time. At work we use Quadro P6000. So far neither option is cheap enough for me to actually buy at the moment since the fall of PC hardware prices in general make them hard to justify investing in.

  16. @adiwan Ah yes, an app developer

Sunday, 28-Jul-19 19:13:33 UTC from web in context
  17. @adiwan You get a lower price to performance ratio doing that. Ray Tracing is all the 2080 has to offer over a 1080ti

  18. The feeling when you create something with a small flaw that you noticed at he beginning but then thought that it would be straightened down at the end but then it can't be straightened out in the end.

  19. @oracle For that amount (+ a bit more) I'd buy a RTX 2080

  21. @scribus That's because I'm a wizard. A wizard that creates worlds and concepts from nothing but weird incantations put into a seemingly infinite scrolling scroll that is put into a box.

  23. @adiwan Little known tidbit. People will seldomly bother you with 'stunts' like this as long as you bring a cameraman.

Silver tongues and bluffing get less done than the game of acting like you are doing something legit.

  24. I have gotten my hands on a 'toy' that someone did not want to play with anymore. Said he did not care anymore since he thought it was broken since it would flash but not boot through afterwards. Or something like that.

Well I am going to give it a go, probably when I get back home, flash it myself ( or whatever it is you need to do ), whack it a few times. If nothing else I will just re-use the heat-pads and project-box. Also use the board components for desoldering practice.

Pretty sure this is the datasheet of the product http://rainbowdash.net/url/874964 ... If only there was some video showing how to do a simple project from point zero onwards. You know, like with all those Raspberry Pi YouTube video's out there.

Alternatively my Google-Fu is worse than terrible since I am at Camp.

Alternative to the alternatively alternative, I am too FUBAR to recognise that I am too drunk for any of this schtuff RN.

  25. @adiwan I'll play that game with you

    What is 320 Euro's ?

[ Looks it up ] Well, used ones are more expensive than new ones, I am about right on the price though. Not that I would pay that for that.
[ Looks further ] ... I think I would buy an RX 5700 if pressed to buy one RN. Way more umph en par to a RTX 2080, However it is team Red.

  26. Did I mention that I was at Camp during this heat-wave ? ... Taking a shower now that the temperatures have seemed to 'normalize' felt like the coolest hug I ever got.

  27. @scribus Aww, I hope that someone with a better job proposition comes along soon.

Not gonna lie, I have NO idea how 'that' works. But the best of luck nontheless.
