The Sheep and the Horses, ekońĺa aḍazĺa
ukzapşenı koń aḍazë eköřdü; z̧e pır ahwr tzeřemiz̧, paşka ahwrpzarımız̧, paşkaĺa ay tzetomuz̧. ekoń aḍazë edzäzi “śiń aḍaznı eltzetuo uz̧e śedzeyiv ekzır”. e’aḍaz wldzädi “yu koń, śiń e’angaś ukza’uolna eweṭüö, ekoń oy ukzapşe ıdzır, iz̧e kzä śedzeyix elkzır”. İz̧e elwa, ekoń darzë ehitti.
A sheep without wool saw horses; one carrying a heavy wagon, another carrying a heavy burden, yet another with one rider. The sheep said to the horses, “A man rides (works) horses, as my heart pains”. The horses say “Look, sheep, the man, the master, makes clothing from the wool, and the sheep is left without wool, as our hearts are in pain”. Upon hearing this, the sheep runs into the field.
Literal translation:
the-sheep-and horses-and
wool-without (a) sheep (the) horses it-he-saw; as one heavily wagoned-was apparently, another heavily-made-to-pull (apparently), another-and only put aride (apparently). The-sheep horses-the to it-he-said “human horses-the they-made-to-pulling as heart-my it-hurts”. The-horses they-said “look sheep, human the-master woolen garment he is making of it, the-sheep while wool-without is, as heart-out it-hurts”. As it-he-heard, the-sheep hill-to it-he-ran.
