  2. @dropsterdash Alright man I understand, but if you ever change your mind give me a shout.

  3. @dropsterdash I take breaks regularly, I might sit on a track for an hour or two and then listen to some more inspirational music from my idols, watch some videos on youtube or even go take a nap. But as long as I get back on when I'm done it's fine. You can take a load off whenever, just as long as you're not 10 minutes in and walking around your house trying to stall. My stuff isn't high-quality either, I'm no where near a master at this stuff yet but as long as I keep on trying I'll get better with time.

  4. @dropsterdash xD Hell no man, it's not all fantasy and fun when you first start off, hell I'm a year in and still having trouble. But once you properly learn how to do it all, you get your style down, your sound design is solid and your mastering is good, you'll be having a blast. Being able to make sounds that you want and put them in a song that you love is a dream come true, and as long as you work for it you can get to it.

  5. @dropsterdash Yes, getting what's in your head in the mp3 can be so stressful and exhausting. But if you just look up some tutorials, experiment, concentrate and all of that jazz, you'll get it sooner or later. It might take a few weeks to finally get it or maybe even some months but as long as you keep practicing and studying, you'll get it. After all, practice makes perfect.

  6. @dropsterdash If you TRULY want to make music for a living, like you know this is what you want to do for the rest of your life as your job, then I would skip a few programming lessons or make some free time for some music practice on the weekends, 2 days is a small amount of time, but you'd be surprised at what you can learn in just 48 hours. Just keep focused on practice for those two days and do all of your homework beforehand, ask your family to be left alone, that sort of stuff.

  7. @dropsterdash I know it's tough, I just recently got my patterns right and I can finally get a solid beat. Try to mix it up a bit and but kicks closer together as opposed to the same length, > http://ur1.ca/giua9 this is a sort of quick DnB-style beat. Try to make something along those lines sometimes.

  8. @dropsterdash Your mixing isn't bad either, everything sounded together and fit rather well besides those electro-rave breakdown sounds.

  9. @dropsterdash Okay, the melody sounds good, and to be honest you're a lot better at melodies than I am. Or at least it sounds like it. As for the drums, I like them, but there is just a lack. I know you're working with something that has limits on samples, but adding closed hihats, rides, crashes, claps and snares can make a simple 4-step drum pattern into a full out beat.

  10. @dropsterdash Did you make this all by yourself? I mean like, did you create all of the sounds, ect..

  11. @dropsterdash I get a 403 error when I click the link, maybe try to upload it on http://ur1.ca/giu7v

  12. @dropsterdash Meh, it looks solid. But I always prefer the more professional DAW's

  13. @dropsterdash Alright.

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 06:24:26 UTC from web in context
  14. @dropsterdash As much as I hate to do so, I highly recommend pirating it. I know it sounds bad but that's what I did a year ago and I still use my pirated version, I want to see if I want to go through with this whole music thing then I'll buy the full version. And I think you should do the same

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 06:19:34 UTC from web in context
  15. @dropsterdash Do you have the full version of FLS? or are you talking about the demo?

  16. @dropsterdash Have you already started?

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 06:14:23 UTC from web in context
  17. @dropsterdash I read your profile and saw you'd like to be a producer, is this still true?

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 06:13:49 UTC from web in context
  18. @djhedgehog Anytime man.

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 06:12:13 UTC from web in context
  19. @djhedgehog If your family doesn't like it either, ignore it. I know it's a hard thing to do but you must refuse to change for them. They're your son and/or daughter. They need to accept you for who you are. And if you want to be an artist, go for it, no matter what people say just keep drawing and practicing. I believe anyone can do anything they put their mind to so long as they push themselves to become what they want and do what they want.

  20. @dropsterdash Thanks for the sub as well!

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 06:00:03 UTC from web in context
  21. @djhedgehog You shouldn't go to change yourself just because others want you to be different. It's not right.

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 05:58:33 UTC from web in context
  22. @dropsterdash Well I'm glad you like my stuff so much ^_^ I've only been doing this for almost a year now and it makes me happy to know I've improved and learned so much.

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 05:57:55 UTC from web in context
  23. @dropsterdash Okay now, I'm an alright musician. But I'm nothing special.

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 05:56:13 UTC from web in context
  24. @djhedgehog I've been called gay, homo, papayas, wimp, worm, and just about every offensive name in the book JUST because I'm a brony. But I don't give a papayas about what others think of be because I know who I am and I don't give a damn if someone try's to being me down just because there is something they don't like about me. They don't decide what I do and who I am, I do, and you should feel the same.

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 05:55:42 UTC from web in context
  25. @djhedgehog For what reason?

Wednesday, 29-Jan-14 05:50:45 UTC from web in context
  26. @dropsterdash Thanks man, that's why I wanted to know your favorite speeches and calls, I'm planing on doing something like http://ur1.ca/giu23 soon but I didn't know what audio to use
