I read a fairly "recent" paper from 2005. It seems so strange to read that the authors used a MacBook G4 and Java 1.4 for their tests.

Sometimes I stop watching a video because of very bad audio quality (popping noises, high pitch, a lot overlayed static noise, unbalanced audio, only one stereo channel has sound...).

While I'm rambling... Ice tea is also quite terrible, but not as terrible as bubble tea. The ice tea that is sold in stores is too sweet and cold tea doesn't taste good. I'm also calling putting lemon or peach flavour into it a sin.

@critialcloudkicker I drank bubble tea only once and it was awful. Calling it tea is an insult to the classy (hot!) drink we all know and love.

@critialcloudkicker It's similar with all the retro video games I own. It's a miracle I still find space between the spaces to fit new ones. I'm also encountering a space problem for all the books I have. Soon I'll have to push "The Dilbert Principle" and others back into the second row on my shelf. Also bye bye to my Elvish-German dictionary that I used twice to translate a few words.

I want to buy comics. Too many comics. The Avatar The Last Airbender comics that I don't have yet. Which are 5 at this time and the 6th comes in a week. 8€ a piece doesn't sound too much for a high quality comic but it sums up :-|

I shouldn't listen to English speech when reading English text. It confuses my brain. Listening to any other language isn't as distracting.

@critialcloudkicker It doesn't solve the "problem". The universal translator has to understand what is written in the computers. Also there were numerous episodes about pre-warp civilisations.

Do people in Star Trek understand what animals say? The people in that universe have a "Universal Translator". They can understand languages the device didn't heard before. Why not animals?

@critialcloudkicker Fortran is for weird people and for those who are way behind. Fortran uses column major matrices, whereas other languages use row major order. Fortran is only used in archaic system environments and surprisingly in high performance computing.
