  1. I missed the latest Bob's Burgers episode. It aired 4 days ago. I kinda hate the broadcasting schedule of my favorite shows.

  2. I'm getting slightly aroused by the fact that photoshop is soooo much quicker than before with the new PC. The GUI is so responsive now. I'll start drawing my next vet pony update very soon. After that I'll install debian.

  4. Oh... I didn't know that my monitor can set a different color setting for each input. Nice.

  5. @n1ghtsword I'm surprised as well. It didn't do any problems. I guess the mainboard thought: "Ah... it isn't connected properly. I'll just ignore it and start anyway. It must be OK so."

  6. I'm such a dumbass that I'm too dumb to install correctly the RAM. Now I discovered that my system only recognized 12GB out of 16B that should be there. Apparently I didn't push one RAM bar completely down.

  8. @xrevan86 I need Windows for the games and Photoshop and my graphics tablet. Both photoshop and my graphics tablet don't work that well on Linux. I use Linux for all the rest like browsing, programming, chatting... I'm an opportunist in a way. I'd use MacOS if there were anything that I really need it for. Luckily there isn't the case.

  9. @nerthos It's annoying for me. Watching all the slow moving progress bars. Clicking "next" repeatedly...

  11. Installing all the software is a pain. Drivers (graphics tablet, printer, webcam...), browser, plugins, video players, photoshop, libreoffice, games, music player, instant messenger...

  12. It's a pain in the butt to get GTA 4 running. At first it didn't want to start at all. Then it didn't want to change the graphics settings.

  13. Ugh... my laptop mouse keeps doing double clicks by accident.

  14. Ah... great... Because I confused with the day and the month in the BIOS settings the date was incorrect. Thus all the SSL connections said that the certificates were expired. It took me a goddamn half hour to figure this out.

  15. Hm... Windows 7 keeps rejecting SSL certificates.

  16. @nerthos Sure. It's supported at this moment. Maybe in a few years I'll switch to 10.

  19. @critialcloudkicker I'm running Windows 7. I could install 8.1 or even a developer preview of 10 but I don't like 8 and 10 is a bit too experimental for me.

  22. I wonder what's faster: Installing over 180 Windows updates or installing over 2000 Debian packages? My bets are on the latter.

  27. @critialcloudkicker I have a dual-boot system. I'm kicking my left boot for Windows and the right boot for Linux. It's more efficient. Also I can download a legal version of Windows for free, as a computer scientist student. So why not making it a dual-boot?

  28. @critialcloudkicker Haha. Actually I have a good chuck of games I want to play with max settings. My old PC wasn't even able to get them running on the lowest settings. GTA 4 for example barely run. Skyrim (that I finished) ran smoothly with medium settings and on a resolution of 1024x756.
