Although I like my old iPod Touch 2G (16GB) I want a new MP3 player but with the following features: No iTunes, a touch interface like the iPod (perhaps slightly better but the iPod Touch interface is OK), a storage capacity with more than 256GB so I can store my whole music collection without the need to compress it to 128bit AAC, physical buttons at the side to skip to the next track while it's in my pocket, a good audio output quality with no noise or buzz, a battery life as good as the iPod Touch 2G (a long standby), able to disable (or no) "cover flow" (it's pointless in my opinion), able to watch videos (xvid, h264, mpg (avi, mkv, mp4)), a standard USB cable to connect it to the PC. Sadly there are fewer and fewer dedicated MP3 players on the market.

I would write a lot of comments on deviantArt, especially on pictures with mediocre art quality with comments from other people that flabberghast over the pictures. I feel that my comments would mostly boil down to "meh" and "your art decisions suck" (not as harshly displayed like here) and it would discourage the artists to paint anymore. So I rarely make any comment.

@critialcloudkicker You're right that it is hard to tell what will happen. Who would know in 1992 that SEGA won't produce any consoles anymore? To gamespy: I have never used gamespy, mainly because I don't play games online, but it sucks for sure that all the games have a crippled feature because a service went down. It's like all the online play with the old XBox and some Nintendo DS and Wii games (insert many other games that relied on specific services that are now defunct). I hope the developers will make games that allow people to run their own servers.

@critialcloudkicker I'll predict that the ones with the bigger money behind their backs will win in the end. So I would say that netflix will buy the local streaming services one by one and thus eliminating their competition. In the gaming business it's not that important. Steam is loved by many people, while origin and uplay are hated. Games for Windows died recently and won't sell games anymore. I assume that will happen to origin and uplay too because of their low userbase (and acceptance).

@critialcloudkicker Well... It's not surprising. Most of the countries here have their own streaming sites with their own contracts (maybe exclusive) for certain films and series. Netflix had to expand earlier in order to gain significant influence. In Germany there are about 5 bigger streaming services (watchever, maxdome, amazon, videoload, apple itunes). I'm curious which of them will survive.

@critialcloudkicker I don't have access to the Wall Street Journal article so I don't have any details. The EQD article says that Hasbro has some saying for the 09:00-15:00 time slot. So it's exactly the time slot ponies were anyway.

@meloetta I fixed my N64 controllers a while ago and I was lucky that they didn't make any problems. I replaced the analog sticks and now they work as if they were new.

I hate small and broken screws that are not very easily accessable. I tried to open several SNES controllers and some of them had busted screws (either done by me or they were already broken). It's too late and I have no nerves to continue.

@thelastgherkin Cool. But it's kinda weird that Star Wars is more related to Marvel than to DC because of Disney's aqcuisition of Marvel and Lucasfilm. The C3PO Batman is fantastic nonetheless.
