They were able to get the swelling down, and they prescribed me a steroid to help the symptoms. Also, after the hives went down over the course of several days, my left leg was more swollen than my right, and I was having trouble moving my foot. This concerned me since I had an infection in that foot that I was tending to, and I thought maybe everything happening was a sign that stuff was going to start to fall off. The steroids unfortunately contributed to making me completely lose my mind at this point. Anyway, after missing work for almost a full work week because I couldn't handle the incessant itchiness\/aching\/fever and my mind being completely scrambled, and from being in and out of the doctor's office, everything finally started to get better. The full story was that after the extreme swelling and hives everywhere I did end up going to the ER (After Mom convinced me). They were able to get the swelling down, and they prescribed me a steroid to help the symptoms.
