  1. @awl I ran out of questions :^(

  2. @awl Do you have any idea what the future holds?

  3. @awl Any especially famous/infamous activists?

  4. @awl How's the revolt going?

  5. @awl How do the people feel about their government and/or social hierarchy?

Thursday, 26-Mar-15 22:35:19 UTC from web in context
  6. @awl What achievements in their history are they especially proud of, if any?

  7. @awl What sort of music did they create?

  8. That actually is a good idea for one in the future, "Maycan cuisine". Take a note.

  9. @awl What did they eat?

  10. @awl Hey, if I was influenced by FrankerZty learning experiences I wouldn't be in the class. Hell, I wouldn't be in school, probably.

  11. @awl Each letter represents a syllable, like in Chinese or Japanese. That'd limit the amount of syllables we can use, and it would be unusable for English. New words and grammar would have to be built, but of course it's just an idea :) . Example pronunciations might be "ar-duh" for as, and "hey-duh" for bs.

  12. @awl You'd likely enjoy the philosophy of the university I signed up for. They basically complained about the traditional ones focusing on an all too scientific method of teaching, that ended up creating more researchers, and instead made an university with a more practical way of teaching/working so their engineers would be fit to work in the industry.

  13. @awl Yeah. I can pass the exam, but I'm entirely apathetic towards it since I've written out my responses to 2 and 3 already, for one, and I've passed the section of the course I actually like with flying colours.

  14. @awl Eh, question 1 isn't really the issue. Though that being said, I do wish the entire exam was made up of smaller, more practical questions about camera, sound, mise-en-scene, what have you

  15. @awl Here we go. So for the RDN conlang, how about this: 'a' is me. 'b' is thou. 's' is a plural marker placed after any noun. So, 'as' is us and 'bs' is y'all.

  16. @awl Well the exam is as follows: 1) A general essay question that could be about money or celebrities or viewing medium; 2 and 3) Memorise every single detail about two films and regurgitate that knowledge in a way that isn't useful or reflective of your actual skill.

  17. @awl It's only like Esperanto in the sense that it's a conlang and uses the Latin alphabet. It's more like Babm: http://rainbowdash.net/url/820802

  18. @awl Yeah, true. I wish the Film class didn't have a terrible exam board because I love the coursework side of the course, and were it not for said exams I'd love the analysis.

  19. @awl Analysis of media is pretty enjoyable, but less so when it's an educational requirement that has dumbass rules to follow. That being said I loved picking out connotations from The Mask and that essay got me a B after several rewrites.

  20. @awl It'd be TV if anything, I think. Well, general media would be nice so I could dabble.

  21. @awl The Latin alphabet is used, like we have now, but each letter is assigned a syllable like in Japanese. The syllables willhave Slavic phonemes.

Thursday, 26-Mar-15 21:52:16 UTC from web in context
  22. @awl That sure would be nice. I know I enjoy grammar but not so strongly that I'm certain I want to stay on that path

Thursday, 26-Mar-15 21:50:51 UTC from web in context
  23. @awl There should be an RDN conlang.

  24. @awl Nonetheless, it's pretty commendable if you ask me

  25. @awl I wish I was because I respect your penchant for it.

  26. @awl If I didn't suck at the topic I'd let you pick my brain

  27. @awl It's completely new territory for me, and the exam totally floored me. It certainly is interesting though.

  28. @awl Yeah, I'm a real sucker for strong yet subtle visual storytelling and that whole scene was just perfect.

  29. @awl Yeah, that was one of times. I remember in this one Reddit AMA he went into a lot more detail about it too.

  30. @awl I don't remember that line. Huh. Probably too busy looking up GIFs of his performance because I was astounded.
