@skellythos Beth has effectively removed useless items, everything has a purpose and (perhaps most importantly) I *wanted* to pick up everything because I felt like I needed everything.

@bobo @skellythos On top of all of that, there's so much more detail in FO4 then there was in Skyrim. I have played for four hours without switching my selected radio station, and radio dialogue hasn't repeated ONCE. All of the non-hostile-NPCs I have found have different voice actors, as well.

@skellythos Hardcore mode is out of it (but you *do* have to supply food and water for your settlements), but the combat is brutal and you will need to prepare for some of these fights. I have already found myself scrounging around for that *one* more material I need to upgrade my weapon. Stimpaks are not given out like candy, so food takes priority, and the returning cooking system (from NV) is BEEFED (pun intended???).

One excellent thing I can say about Fallout 4 is that, unlike other Bethesda games, it doesn't cherry around. Gunplay is challenging, ammo is scarce, and the wasteland is gonna kick your ass. I love it.

@papyrus Isn't the "Steam Subscriber Agreement on VPN Usage" just a section stating that you aren't allowed to buy anything with a VPN? Unlocking early is fine, IIRC.

@bobo @mrmattimation Looking back I think my GTA V config MIGHT have had shadows turned to Medium, but whatever. These specs are pretty much "minimum" for FO4, but again, calling bullkiwi.

@bobo @mrmattimation I also refuse to believe that the minimum specs are accurate, I can run a maxed-out GTA V config at 40fps with this rig, I'm sure it can handle FO4.

@mrmattimation I can't find the proper version number anywhere, so I can't be sure. Gonna update my drivers, I remember that a certain AMD driver version boosted GTA V performance by a lot, maybe it's the same for this.

@mrmattimation Gonna check my version number to make sure I have the patch, Steam didn't download any updates while my VPN was active.

@mrmattimation Whole lot of stuttering during the second half of my playtime, (memory leak?) full 5-10 second freezes at one point. I can post my specs, but to sum it up, they're a little over the PS4's in power.

Fallout 4 is a whole lot of fun, but I'm personally experiencing framerate issues (lack of Day 1 Patch??) and they're ruining my enjoyment of the game.
